Update!

Been too busy to update abt me... Basically nothing new. Hav been trying new ways to torture my parents... Recently, I started fussing fr 9pm - 1am b4 I visit LaLa land. U shld c my parents face every nite as they try all means to pacify me.

Mummy & Daddy brought me to hav my ass jab!!! OUCH!!! I nearly brought the whole clinic dwn with my screams... Hopefully, that will deter them from trying to get me jab again cos I overheard them saying, my nxt jab is in JAN. Damn!

Something Positive!

Aft being philosophical abt relationships that don't work out due to lack of commitment btw the parties, let's look @ something positive that came out of our relationship...

SIGH.....

Why do ppl these days take relationships so lightly? Marriage vows are no longer seen as sacred to some. In a short span of less than a mth, I've already learned of 2 long term relationships that have ended abruptly...
I always believe that there will definitely be greener pastures elsewhere but when someone decides to enter into a relationship, this person must make a commitment to give up all these so-called "greener pastures". You can't be in a relationship yet still wanna fool ard outside.
But of course, there will always be temptations, it depends on a person's determination...
It's none of my business but I juz feel it's such a pity to give up a perfectly good relationship for TEMPTATIONS that will prob lead no where. It's fine for the men to fool ard but WOMEN will always be @ the losing end!!!!

Phew, mummy brought me to jab my ass yest. Luckily, I was saved by the nurse as they told my mummy that I'm too small still. She needs to wait till moi is 1.5 mths. C'mon, any one wif an excuse for me to save my ass when the time comes!!!!

Finally managed to borrow the phone cable fr a fren and downloaded all the shots taken using my phone ever since my digi cam died. I've sorted them according to dates... 4 easy references. I've resoloved to take daily pix of BB KaydeN cos I'm afraid he will grow up so quickly that I'm gonna miss how he looks now. Juz like how I miss having him wriggle in my tummy and belonging to me exclusively!!! This is how he looks @ Day 28

Weight Loss!

It's official, I've lost 10kg, the rest remains stubbornly loyal to me... Damn! How to get rid of the remaining 10kg???

Camera Malfunction

Finally brought the digi cam for repair @ Canon. Luckily was a manufacturer defect so my repair is FOC even though the camera is oredi 3 yrs old. Took the opportunity to visit Vivo City with Daddy Collin. I must admit, the place is damn huge wif many shops. Went to look @ the BB section of the clothing retailers, veri cute. Felt like buying everything if I had the budget... sigh! Can't wait for my bonus!!!!

Counting Down!

Ha! Will be celebrating BB KaydeN's full month on Sun 12/11. 4 more days to the end of my confinement. Actually, I've sneaked out a few times oredi, if nt how 2 tahan being copped @ home 4 a whole mth!!!!
BB was a little cranky the pasr few days thus was unable to post. Anyway, getting used to motherhood oredi, hopefully it will only get better from now on.

Growing bigger by the day!

In another week's time BB Kayden will be celebrating his full mth. This year went by so quickly, it's gonna be Christmas soon. Never expected to have an additional member to our little family of 2 + doggy since it has always been only us for the past 12 yrs from dating to marriage. Didn't want to celebrate BB Kayden's full mth @ 1st cos of the venue. My mum's place cant accomodate many ppl plus our new place isn't ready yet. Finally decided to borrow the function rm fr my fren's place.
BB Kayden has grown so much since he came back fr the hospital. He looked like a little mouse then.

Taking A Break!

Baby Kayden has been good since last nite. Goes back to sleep immediately aft his feed. I finally managed to catch up on some much needed sleep before I develop PND. Now juz relaxing infront of my laptop scanning thru my emails, forum and doing a little blogging. Thank goodness for the singaporemotherhood forum, I learnt so much from there. Counting down to the end of my confinement: 10 more days... "ren"
My hubby's fren will be collecting his keys to the new place nxt week. So exciting!!! Guess we'll be collecting ours soon... no more splurging...since a big bulk of our $$$ will go to the new house!!!

Baby Is 21 days Old!

Time really flies when one is busy. Baby Kayden is already 21 days old. He has grown from a little bundle into a slightly bigger bundle!!! He has an enormous appetite, wanting to feed every 2-3 hrs. No wonder I always felt hungry when he was in me... ha ha
Then he sabo me by being only 2.7kg @ birth, while I gained 20kg. Wonder where all that weight went? I managed to lose about 10kg so far but that's it, the rest dun seem to hav any indication of going away. Hopefully the fats hav nt decided to become PRs in me!
I have forgotten what sleep is, since I look aft my BB 24/7. If I'm lucky, I might catch abt 1.5-2 hrs of sleep each time aft his feed.

Unprepared!

Was eagerly counting dwn to theday when I will be able to c BB. However, was totally unprepared for the crying, nite feeds etc... Now that he's out of me, I kind of miss him being in me. I miss his kicks, his stretching, his shifting and wriggling ard. Still trying to adjust to motherhood... Hopefully things will get better from now on.

Post Natal Massage

Today is the 4th day of my massage by Mdm Naini. She's real strong, the massage @ my tummy area is damn painful but will bear wif it 4 vanity sake... Can c that her massage is pretty effective in reducing the tummy bulge but hmm... will everything go back to normal. "Keeping my fingers & toes crossed"
Haiz... dunno wat to do wif all e excess weight. Put on a grand total of 20kg for the pregnancy, only managed to lose 8kg, still hav 12kg more to go... HOW?????

Cranky Baby!

Last nite was terrible, BB Kayden din sleep well through the nite, kept waking up hungry. Was already feeding him 80ml but he still woke up every 2 hrs. I was exhausted having to take care of him myself and coaxing him to sleep cos cant possibly keep stuffing him wif milk rite?
His tantrums lasted till this morning aft his shower. Finally put him to sleep aft his 10am feed. Hopefully, he will be able to sleep peacefully.

Abandoned!!!

Today is the 16th day of my confinement... Already getting veri frustrated as I'm damn bored. Can't wait for everything to end. 2 weeks more..."Lun!"
Daddy Collin has gone for his friend's bachelor gathering. So I'm left @ home wif BB., lucky BB Kayden has decided to be an angel today.

My Humble Beginnings!

My mummy has finally scanned all my ultrasound shots. (Kudos to her... if it's my daddy, think all of u will nd to wait much longer!!!) Let me give u a tour ard my home for the past few months & how I develop fr a grain of rice to my final grand total of 2.72kg!
Unfortunately, they r all not in the correct sequence cos mummy hasn't learnt how 2 rearrange them properly (but we shall nt blame her...). Let's give her some time, meanwhile, u guys r welcome to take a look & make sense of wat my mummy has uploaded!!! Enjoy

My Birth Story!

13th October 2006

Morning: Still discussing wif daddy collin how I shld go 4 my medical appt. Finally decided to
send him 2 work then I drive myself 2 e hospital for my appt. Was still saying I wanna bring e car for a wash aft my appt before going home. Come to think of it, I actually drove till e
day I gave birth... ha ha Totally unprepared for wat was 2 come...

10.45am: 38 weeks medical appt wif Dr Ho (doing CTG).
Strapped to CTG machine for almost 45 mins to monitor BB's heartbeat & my
contractions.

11.30am: Went in for consultation wif Dr Ho, he told me that BB's heartbeat on e high side,
might hav complications. He advised me to take e BB out since already full term. Well,
I said ok, even ask him which day he wants to do it. Imagine my expression when he
said asap - as in immediately!!! He told me to check myself in to the hospital immediately.

12pm: Went to the delivery suite @ MAH. Requested 4 epidural as planned. Was glad 2 get
Dr Dicky Tay, he was damn good & made e whole epidural experience pleasant. Tried to
contact Daddy but he din pick up his phone. Sms him to bring my stuff 2 e hospital.
Finally got him ard 1+, ha ha... can't imagine his face when he realises that this was gonna
b it.

2pm : Dr Ho came to break my water bag. Check my dilation, was 1.5cm dilated.

5pm: Dr Ho came to check. Dilation was @ 4cm

7pm: Dr Ho came to check. Dilation was @ 8cm.

9pm +: Fully dilated, told 2 start pushing but unfortunately, I was too numb from e waist down.
Tried pushing but no effect. Meanwhile, BB's heartbeat started going up & down so I
was given oxygen. Dr Ho decided to vacuum the BB out. Set up equipment, BB was
vacuum out in less than 2 mins.

10pm +: Finally, BB Kayden announced his arrival by wailing his lungs out!!!

12am: Send to ward while BB was send for cleaning.

It's So Surreal!

Baby Kayden is exactly 15 days old today. Can't believe he's already out of my tummy! It was veri tough @ e beginning cos BB was on US timing - sleeps in the day, eyes big big @ nite. Luckily, he is slowly adapting 2 our local time though sleep is still a luxury for me these days. Trying to upload his ultrasound shots to e blog, will do it once I learn how to.

Being in my daddy's car is juz like being on a roller coaster except, it's much jerkier. Luckily, I've received ample training during the past few mths when I was hiding in my mummy.
Phew! So glad to be home. Let me enjoy my beauty sleep 1st. Think I'll start my torture tonight...

Panic Button!

Mummy Rita finally popped on e ominous Friday 13/10/2006 after enjoying her Macdonald's Big Breakfast!
Daddy Collin was @ the labour suite the whole time. Both of us went w/o food the entire day. Baby Kayden took his own sweet time and decided to announce his arrival aft a 9 hour labour... Hmm... daddy & mummy were wondering who this screaming, wrinkly thing is!!!

Wanted to start the blog earlier when I started my maternity leave @ the beginning of the month but didn't managed to convince myself to sit down to create the blog.
